Racing
• All boats must have a 2026 Nationals safety inspection sticker prior to testing as well as competition
• If your category shows elimination heats and there are NOT enough entries for elims, that will become your final.
• Digital clock will operate on a 3-minute timer. For the sake of fairness, we will not hold the clock for anyone. If you do need extra time prior to the green flag, the judges stand must be informed immediately
• We will run the full 3-minute clock, we will NOT shorten the clock and throw the white flag early.
• To receive refund of entry fee, you must have scratched by the conclusion of roll call at Driver’s Meeting Wednesday night
• All boats must remain on the racecourse until the black flag is thrown to conclude the heat; disqualification if exiting prior to black flag.
• All boats must report to inspection after each heat.
• Absolutely no pitting from the boat ramp without written approval from the race committee. The ramp is exit only to keep the event moving.
• If your class has elimination heats, your engine must remain sealed through finals. Any engine with a broken seal will be disqualified.
• Please turn right when exiting the pits at the start of a heat. This helps cut down on the rollers in the straightaway and first turn after the clock hits zero
• All drivers must round the 1000-foot buoy
• Exit pin of turn 2 is the 500-foot commitment buoy. Exiting the starting chute after the 500-foot commitment buoy with less than 15 seconds on the clock will result in disqualification
• Drivers are required to round the entrance pin on approach to the 1000-foot buoy. Drivers who cut through the middle of the turn, between buoys, will be disqualified
• Race committee will continue into the next day’s schedule if future forecast looks to cause delays
• All protests must be reported to the driver’s representatives. Do not come to the judges stand to file a protest
J Propellors
• Propellers will be issued through Inspection before each heat. Drivers must present their APBA membership card to receive a propeller.
• Propellers must be exchanged after every heat and returned to Inspection after the final heat.
• Bring the tools needed to change your propeller to Inspection after each heat to keep the process moving.
• JH/JR boats will have a brief on-plane testing session before each heat. Be ready when called so the race schedule can stay on time
American Legion
• Please remember that we are able to race here thanks to the American Legion Post #233
• We appreciate every effort to support the American Legion to ensure we can continue to use this race site in the future
• American Legion will be serving breakfast, lunch, Wednesday through Saturday
• The American Legion bar will be open each night and serving pizza
• The Legion will be catering the awards banquet Saturday evening; we ask drivers to show full support and purchase banquet tickets.
• Drivers meeting will be located in the upstairs of the Legion at 6pm Wednesday. Pending how crowded the room is, the meeting may move to the back lawn outside the bar
• DO NOT park or pit on the grass area outside the Legion bar.
Camping
• With the high levels of RVs, camp sites will be tight
• We will make every effort to put you close to your preferred neighbor but please be respectable to those parked next to you
• Camp sites will be 16’ wide so full use of your awning will be limited
• Please ensure the use of a smokestack when using a generator. With the proximity of RVs next to each other, we need to ensure that there will be no carbon monoxide poisoning to those around
• We will make every effort to get RVs out in a timely manner on Sunday but if you are boxed in, we ask that you be patient.
• There will be a Gray and Black tank disposal coming around Thursday morning. Cost to empty is $25 per RV
• There will be no water delivery available. If camping in an RV, please conserve water best you can. If you do need additional water, please see one of the race directors.
• Camping boundaries will be marked in orange paint, please stay within your lines
