Coldwater
September 2002: On this warm, sunny weekend, we saw again what we know to be true -- we are a family of boat racers, comprised of families.
|
From Holland, Michigan: Steve Bolhius (kneeling) and his father, Tom.
From Indianapolis, Indiana: Dallas Rodgers and his grandpa, Cliff Johnson.
From Cincinnati, Ohio: Austin VanOver and his grandpa, Bob.
Preparing for the race course: Dave Robertson, Lebanon, Indiana and son James Robertson, Jamestown, Indiana, fine tune their hydro for competition.
Onto the course: Kris Proctor is ready to launch the 42-H boat of his son, Patrick, while Bob Koschka readies the K & S Racing hydro of his son, Daniel. All are from Indianapolis.
Returning from the course: Jim Robb, Waterford, Michigan, greets the Mean Red, Jr. hydro of son, Jimmy, while Bob VanOver crews for grandson Austin's black boat.
Day's end: Donna and Steve Roskowski, Mooresville, Indiana, and Walt and Marc Slominski, Dayton, Ohio, load boats onto the trailer.
Put away for the winter: John Sharp, Indianapolis, Indiana, puts his Formula E engine in the trailer while Kelly Sharp visits with Bob and Pat VanOver, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cool down: Nothing like a refreshing swim and some playtime.
